Multimeter Questions

Might have to change my handle to 4570GOVT

I mentioned having one in another forum and just wondered. How many of you guys have one, what do you use it for, and do you like it?

I love mine. The thing cuts through just about everything, even tiles.

For those who don't know what one is. Check it out

correctly valved 5 speed. White, Brown Manf. brushguard and rear bumper,Sprayed in liner, Stock plate and AFC properly adjusted. That's all for now. More to come.

Some guys hanging sheetrock at my friend's house had cordless ones they carried in there nailbags, slick tool.

I've been using air die grinders, which are much the same idea, for metal working for many years. Use with wire wheels, grinding stones and carbide burrs, great for close quarter work.

I have a Bosch, of course! Bought it for drywall, find myself using it more and more.

Takes a little getting use to, cutting boxes out AFTER you hang the sheet. I had a few black holes! Be sure to shut the power off incase you end up on the inside of the box!

House I have now needed some updates when I bought it. The junk recessed kitchen lights were a different diameter from what is available now. I filled in the old holes and bought the Rotozip with the circle attachment to cut the new ones. If you ever tried to cut a perfect circle overhead in drywall, this tool makes it a breeze!

Unless you are a pro drywaller or contractor, I don't see the need for cordless. It is a handy tool but will still sit a lot.

I've used mine on Plexiglas, Lexan, and the usual building materials- it's great!

I needed to enlarge some odd shaped holes for recessed cleats on my boat (went to next size up) would have been near impossible with anything else, Roto-Zip did it with ease, really throws the waste though. I forget that I have it most of the time, Wife got it for me last year for christmas. Haven't used it much.

Got one, love it. I've used it on wood, drywall, brass door plates, metal, hardyplank siding, and Tundra flooring. Bits can get costly. It took a few bits to learn the best speed with different materials.

I think I'm getting one from Santa.
I could have used it a hundred times in the last six months, with the new bathroom and new soffit and fascia.

I've got the ol' Rotomite RTM01. If you want reamed, just call me and I'll bring the the Rotozip. For you guys who are clueless, just go to Home Depot or one of the others and ask for a demostration. I bought one on a lark, and I've used the dickens out of it !! #ad

I'm looking at them, planning to buy one... I've seen other brands like DeWalt, that don't have that "D" handle on them like the RotoZip does... I'm not sure I like that handle, it looks clumsy. Any other brands/styles you're aware of?

The model I have (the base model) does not have the 'D' handle. I think that handle (on the higher priced units) is removable. Check them out. #ad

MGM's comment on electrical outlet boxes, and cutting holes in drywall for the boxes, reminded me how much I used to hate this particular tool. Back when I worked electrical construction, we used to come back to the job after the drywall was hung, only to find our wires butchered, shaved, cut, nicked inside the boxes, no matter how carefully we had tucked them as far back as possible. The tool seems to be about the right size, those drywallers were mighty lucky they didn't get one shoved where the sun don't shine. #ad

But now I find myself needing one, and hoping I don't end up hating myself, LOL !

Hey, do any of y'all have or have used the Zip-Mate attachment? What do you think of it? I've been looking at it and wondering if it's worth buying. TIA
