Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Rough idle and limp mode

Ok, don't know what is going on. TST pmax installed. If I put a load on my truck, like towing or getting into it real hard the truck will idle real rough, then when I turn it off and restart it is in limp mode and check engine is on. Restart 4-5 times it will go out of limp mode, and restart a few more times it will lose the check light and runs great until I tow again?? Any suggestions.

Possible fix?

Just regrounded the power max (pump wire and power wire are soldered) and took it for hard rund on level 9 with a 7000 lb load. No hesitation or check engine light. I hope this was it. If it is... . 2 weeks to figure out a bad wire connection
