I've had my 2014 for about 6 weeks now and overall I'm extremely happy with it. I bought in with just under 12000km on it, and now have almost 21000km. It has a few issues which by going through the forums look like they can be fixed with a programming update here and there. The one issue I haven't seen mentioned is a rough idle when cold and surging. It strikes me as an over fuel type surge, which would also explain the rough idle. Anyone else experienced this or know of a fix? Thanks in advance, an btw, its great to be back in the Cummins crowd again.....

I to have the slight surging feeling when driving very lightly. Doesn't bother me enough to try and have them figure it out.

Occasionally. I have the g56, so it will set off a bit of driveline play as the governor tries to hold it steady. Bothers my wife, not me. Only happens when cold and lightly loaded.

Its normal when cold. Mine does it also. From what i know they all do it. When you want to worry is if it does it all the time even when at operating temp.

My 2013 does it also the surge at idle when cold. It also has a slight bit of a stumble/ surge if you moving along with the throttle just off idle. While it does not bother me, what I have noticed is the oil change minder re- setting it self at any time. one day it'll say 60% oil life left next tine it says 99% life. very strange..

Yes, mine occurs just off idle as well. Very noticable with the g56. I have the 2013. But don't have an erratic EVIC.

They don't all do it.......knock on wood!! I haven't had any surging issues whether cold or at operating temps. Only had a few cold starts requiring grid heater earlier in the year, but so far, so good.:)
