Dads truck 2003 auto has a rough idle at red lights. You will think its about to die and then will recover. With any pedal at all it runs great just doesnt idle well. Idle RPM is 7-800,new fuel filter. Any ideas? Thanks, Scrap Iron.
It could be a number of things like the FCA, CP3, injectors, cam sensor, crank sensor, ect. I say have it put on a DRB and they should be able to tell whats going on.
Mine has done something similar... twice. Both times, a quart bottle of Power Service (white bottle) in a full tank cleared it up before that tank was half empty.
At the time, I was running "Howe's Meaner Power Cleaner" in every tank. I now run a PS/MMO mix and have never had it happen again.
