Rough Running at Start

85,000 miles. Over the last few months I've been seeing a rough running engine with little power after start. It doesn't always do it, but it does repeat. I turn it off and re-start and then all seems normal. Any ideas?

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I had a similar issue that I correlated to the alternator load. The fix appears to have been a ground to the ECU.. though it's a bit of a guess. Here's that thread:

Your fuel rail pressure sensor may be your problem. Sometimes the problem will appear before a code is set. Check for codes. Sometimes when the sensor is starting to have a problem, the engine will lope/surge when first started. Later, it will start to run rough and finally it will reach a point where it won’t start at all.

I was having a similar issue, and think it might have been the ECU ground strap/mount. It is impossible to be sure, but the problem seems to have gone away when I swapped out the ECU and cleaned and re-installed the ECU and it's mounting plate.
