Rough shift into 1st (48re)

Hi all



I just got a call from the dealer today. I took it in and they test drove last week. They said I had a defective valve body and replaced it under warranty. The clunk was occurring between 20 and 17 mph as it down shifted. Hope this helps.

Thrust washer, eh? thanks for that bit of information. I will keep it in mind. I don't have a exhaust brake. I do carry a heavy Lance 1130 slide in in my 2005 3500DRW but our 2005 2500 is the one that had the problem. We are watching carefully. No TSB or dealer acknowledgement on the thrust washer? Well I wil ask my service manager when I pick the 2500 up and check the new vavle body shifiting characteristics.
