Is anyone running Royal Purple in their transfer case? If you are, what are you running and how well does it work? I have been told by RP that their AT fluid does not work like the Mopar stuff.

I'm running Synchromax in my t-case. Been working well for the last 35k or so. I also run that in my NV5600 with good success.

I run 5W-30 FULL synthetic motor oil. I have run it for over 100k now. T-case shifts the easiest of any truck I have ever owned!

Thanks for the replys. Have either one of you had issues with seals leaking or metal residue after changing out the fluid?

Ben

Zero leaks on the 5W-30 motor oil and it looks like new when I change it every 15k miles. Really, I sometimes wonder why I change it so often! But, since it holds so little oil, I guess it is good preventative medicine and not really that expensive.

I'm running Redline MTL in my transmission and tcase. Didn't want any mixing if there was an inadvertent sharing of fluids due to the failure of synthetic components. :D Shifts great.

I have a leak on my NV5600, but that's been there since day one with the stock fluid. I ran that for 15k then started the RP intervals... My first oil change had some serious metal on the magnet, but since then very minimal. I attribute that to break-in. I think the stock fluid is ok if you change it frequently, I'm just happy with the smooth shifting with the synthetic. I'm going to push this next interval to 60k and see how things turn out.
