Neglected PM's you can do!!

I need a custom intercooler pipe formed

Does anyone know why Royal Purple only recommends using their product in vehicles that are no longer under warranty? They state this clearly on their website. I did ask them this question via e-mail, haven't heard back yet. Just curious.

I do not know why they state that, but I did not like their products in my engine. I have used their gear lube in the diffs for many years now with no complaints at all though. I'm most definitely not sold on their diesel oil offerings.

My guess is that they do not have an API licence for their product. All diesel engine manufacturers require that the owner of the engine use an API licenced classification product. Like API CI-4 or CJ-4. This allows the oil marketer to display the API "donut" on the bottle/container. Many of the "designer" lubricants say their product "meets or exceeds" API classification CI-4 or CJ-4. However they do not have an API license. These are some "weasel words" to make you think you are using an API classified product. Not so!!
