Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) RPM kit???

Does anyone offer a 4500rpm kit? I currently have or supposedly have a 4000 but i can only get it to run to 3600. It is ideling just under 1000 rpms so i think they are in the right spot as for as turned in and out. I guess i am going to pull these out and buy something different.

I dont think the engine will turn 5K.

At the very least I'd have to think it would need to be balanced and blueprinted.

I dont know if i would want to try to turn that many rpms, i'm sure it would take some work. I guess I just need to buy a good 4k rpm kit so it would actually turn it. Someone told me you could get a 4500 so i thought i'd ask.

If the pump is untouched that is were the RPM issue is, those pump just don't like high RPM as there is nothing there, a 215 or a race is the answer, a 215 with 4K's will definitely get there and a race pump like mine hit's fuel break away at 5000.

I heard you could buy a set at Dickey Bubbs in Union and take care of that problem.

talk to piers before you do this. They have a lot of experience with this.

I guess the route to go would be to buy a pump thats done up or get a 215 instead of messing with mine, and or going to dickey bubbs lol. thanks, Lance

Buy a race pump and get them to let you keep your pump till you get them swapped out, then you pull off all your goods and put the stock ones back in then turn that pump in for a core, take your pump parts an sell them on the TDR

I'd hope it would, J. R. Collins runs his pulling semi @5200RPM. That is with a 998CID Mack V-8 Diesel, ~4200HP :--)
