This RRT was posted to Dealers on November 13, 2013.

You will not receive a Safety Recall Notice on it, but your truck software needs to be updated if you have a 2013 RAM 2500 or 3500 D2 or DJ model 6.7L Cummins. (Sales code ETK)

It is FREE UPDATE! It can be done by any RAM dealer (I am assuming. And we all know what happens when we assume or make blanket statements...)

I am attaching the actual RRT or Service Bulletin in PDF format to this post. However the following is scanned text conversion which may contain some translation errors. I am including it in text version below for search topics... but suggest your read the PDF version.

Sorry in advance for the poor scan quality but this site only allows PDF files of 250KB or smaller. Try scanning anything that small and legible!

Enjoy....

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

NOTE: The wiTECH diagnostic application is the only method for flashing ECU's.
Help using the wiTECH diagnostic application for flashing an ECU is
available by selecting "Help" then "Help Contents" at the top of the wiTECH
diagnostic application window.

NOTE: You may erroneously receive an error message at the conclusion of the
download stating the that the flash was not successful. If there is an error
message after the flash has completed, first confirm that the DTC U1601 is
not present and that the PIN has been updated. If so, start the engine to
confirm the flash was successful. If DTC U1601 is present, OR the PIN did not
update, OR the engine did not start, the flash may have been unsuccessful.
Restart the flash update.

2. Flash reprogram the PCM. Help using the wiTECH Diagnostic Application for flashing
the control modules is made available through the wiTECH Diagnostic Application. For
instructions select the "HELP" tab on upper portion of the wiTECH window, then
"HELP CONTENTS". This will open the Welcome to wiTECH Help screen where help
topics can be selected. After PCM reprogramming has completed successfully,
the following must be performed:

3. Power down the PCM (key off) after flash. Automatic Transmission equipped trucks
must have key off for 10 minutes. Manual Transmission trucks must have key off for
75 seconds.

Help!

Bob4x4 or adventuredude,
I was driving my RAM 2500 Cummins yesterday when the engine quit at speed (70-75MPH), I was able to pull over and restart the truck. I took it to a local dealer who was open. They pulled the codes and it looks as though my truck threw almost all of the codes listed above. My question is, should I be worried about engine or transmission damage due to the fact that my truck engine died at highway speed in drive?

I had this re flash done a few weeks ago. The dealer had done the last re flash after which I started getting a CEL and the P20EE code along with some others. On my last visit they did this re flash along with the testing of the doser They ended up replacing the CAT seems there is a new one out. I've over 1,000 miles on it since the re flash all seems to be happy so far. Now if they could just change the programing so the engine break would default to what ever you set it to. I so hate having to turn it on each time I restart.

I am having the same issues that you have with your truck. The P20EE code which I've had once before. The dealer fixed or something. Having to setting the engine brake and tow haul every time I start the truck. Have you had any true fixes?
