I have a 1999 2500 diesel that has a leaking rubber fuel hose that attaches to the hard fuel line next to the overflow valve. I wanted to buy the correct ID hose size and was looking at this hose from Amazon:
HBD Thermoid NBR/PVC SAE30R7 Premium Fuel Line Hose, 5/16" x 25' Length, 0.3125" ID, Black

Would that be the correct size? I measured the hardline at .338".

Thanks for any help,

Ron

Update, after i pulled the old hose off, the return line was 5/16" (I pinned the inside of the hose away from the connection points. Received the new hose and installed today. I did change over from the spring clamps to normal hose clamps to be able to tighten the securing tension. All seems well.

I would suggest putting the spring clamps back on because they maintain constant tension whereas the screw type can loosen as the hose changes with temperature and age forcing you to snug them back up and possibly overtighten.

KATOOM is absolutely correct. Eventually screw clamps will likely cut into the hose as well. It is very rare for a spring clamp to leak.
