Had to horse the truck out of the snowy driveway the other night and promptly buried it on the far side of the road... ... .

Today I noticed a rubber hose hanging from the front end...

I discovered the remainder of a white plastic fitting at the end of this rubber hose which was hanging just behind my front axle. .

4WD light is working so I have to assume this is the 'return' line from the CAD actuator??

QUESTION: Is there something out there to keep a snowbank from removing parts from my CAD system?

QUESTION: What is the downside of not getting this line fixed right away? Or should I just bite the bullet and get it fixed now?

==========

ESPAR glowplug died, Ram now at 75K, ladder bars off 'till mount is fixed, need another lift pump so the box gets little use these days... Just as well as the traction is horrid without the bars

On the bright side I just bought a 1980 W400 military ambulance with under 9K on the odometer and a killer PTO winch too! All this on a lucky low ball bid for this now retired rescue truck... I also had a line on a Cummins drivetrain for the rig for only $800 but the source must have realized that was low as I can't find him now... :)

rubber hose

Sounds as if it the differential breather hose it would be cheep to fix and a good way to get water in the diff it were to find a puddle in your area? Should get it fixed.

David, not to get off the subject but are you into military vehicles or just like the ambulance. I have a 1977 Dodge M880 3/4 ton with M101 3/4 ton trailer. a friend is selling his 1953 Marine Corps 2 1/2 ton cargo truck. frame off restoration. Know anyone interested??

wellll look who found his keyboard... Howdy Buddy

sounds like you found the breather for the front pumpkin dangeling down Eh... zip tie it back till it warms up enough to do it right LOL

we need pic's of the new toy

This hose had a white nylon connector on the end of it which is now ground away from the asphault contact. At 5F I really don't want to crawl around too much.

ANYONE know how to protect that front pumpkin?

Other stuff:

Love the old Military Rigs but money is real tight these days. I did real well $ on the new mil ambulance so I dug into the cookie jar for that. I think I have a low$ cummins drivetrain lined up for this 11K GVW rig, hopefully that comes through soon!

Hi Willy's, wish I had a paid excuse to travel your way, could use a dose of that California heat and a few brews with the San Jose gang.

I am never too far away as I am now running the ISP I bought into last January.
