Ruined new tire

Boy do I hate to admit this. I was driving my wife's 03 in the yard to the front door of my 5th wheel to unload groceries and kaaboomm! I drove over a one of the awning stakes and blew a 5 inch whole in the sidewall of the BF Goodrich TA. :( Yes, I claim the dum bass award for the month.

Anyway, I had to look in the manual to find out the jack is located under the front passenger seat. It's in a neat storage unit with the lug wrench and extensions. Pretty wild.

Had to special order the tire $186. I I sure hated taking that new tire off. :{

Sadly, Wiredawg

Look on the bright side, at least you didn't damage any body work!

I could tell you about the time I backed my camper into my own car, and that was a month after the wife smacked it up in a rear ender (her fault)! :(

Wow, don't you hate it when stuff happens? I feel better knowing I'm not the only one that it happens to.

I haven't checked out the jack and tools yet. Did they work OK?

I have used the jack twice for other than intended uses (mounting nerf bar etc) and it is classy, organized, and a very pleasant surprise. The Jack and all of its components and accessories are mounted to an easily removable "serving plate", that is easily removable, stacks without clanks, without bungie cords, and it is great attention to design and convenience detail.

Our salesman tried to point everything out, but we were in a real hurry to leave, so we shined the tour on. A little quick browsing in the owners manual helped me find the jack.

Sorry to hear it Wiredawg, Ihate it when things like that happen. The expense is bad enough, but beleive the trouble and the aggrivation are worse. Well, I hope that is the worst that ever happens.

I see you are in SW Texas, that covers alot of ground! I've got a buddy in Alpine, beautiful country out there.
