Rumor from Bully Dog

I was at the truck show today at the San Mateo fair grounds that was sponsered by four wheel parts. While browsing through the vendor booths I stopped to talk with a BullyDog rep. He told me that BullyDog has come up with a way to tap into the OEM computer and download new programing. He states the stock computer has the ability to put out some serious HP and TQ numbers with new programing. He showed me a brochure of the one they use for the Duramax, and stated to look for more information on there web site by summer. The bombing wars are making it difficult for me to decide on which product to use. Every time I think I have the box I want, someone changes the rules.

I have been hearing the same thing from one of bully dogs vendors. They are supposed to be coming out with a programmer instead of a module

Be careful of the programmer!!!! A friend of mine has a Duramax and put a Duramaximizer and a Duramaximizer Tech 4 on it. Supposed to make 522 HP. (He's on his second Allison, now). The programmer is not reversible. He now has to upgrade his trans. , because he can't remove the power that was programed into his trucks computer. He's been up to 1550 degs. on his pyrometer, also. He now has to put big bucks into the truck, that he had not counted on. He's not too happy. Just make sure you have a back door and can reverse things so you don't get stuck, like my friend. Supposedly this one is supposed to be like the hypertech/superchips programmer. You are supposed to be able to download the factory programming and then upload the performance program. The factory program would stay stored in the programmer for future use.
