Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 1996 standard, 150K miles, no mods except amsoil bypass filter, 3/4 ton, 4x2 extended cab, automatic overdrive, amsoil synthetic oil and transmission fluid.
i went to start the truck about a month ago (not cold outside), it sounded funny and the transmission was locked, i could not get the shifter to move. i turned off the engine but it kept running so i went out (with key in hand) and popped the hood to look for a fuel shut off celoniod. after about 30 seconds of idle without the key it starved itself to death and stopped. i went back and started it without any problem, no pumping fuel back in the lines etc, sounded normal, auto trans worked fine and i drove it off to work. its has been about a month without any incident.
any ideas?
