Ok Here In Ky It Is Called Simply Off Road Diesel. I Purchase About 100 Gallons A Week. I Have A Bobcat And A Mini Excavator So I Keep 100 Gallon Tank On My Flatbed. Just So Happens That The Pump Is On The Drivers Side. Well That . 30 Cent Cheaper Fuel Is Right There. Yes I Run It Alot In My 99 3500. I Love It. I Am Still Waiting To Get Popped By The Law. But So Far Ive Been Lucky.

Could a guy rig up a prime-loc that isn't hooked up. Use a locking fuel cap, say your key is on your other set at home. They would probably try to sample the fuel seperator and they would find that prime-loc that you had filled with the clear stuff, while the real one is buried underneath it with the ruby red.

I've heard of people pulling their fill line and capping the end. Put some "road" diesel in and supposidly youre done.

I've also heard of putting some used engine oil in your tank, but I dont know if that will pass the "test".

I get red dyed fuel for free... . and it's on the up and up. Not stolen. Oo.

around here you have to apply for a special license to even buy "off road" diesel. its not sold at the pumps, only way to purchase is have it delivered from a bulk dealer after giving them your license number. heavy equipment operators, farmers, generators, boilers, heating systems etc qualify.

get caught on the road with it and its a $1500 fine & revoke of your license. Only difference is the color

that being said, i have NEVER been checked for it, nor do i know anyone that has in the last 20 years...

I've been checked.

I was stopped and sampled in a RANDOM checkpoint on Rt 22, west of Lancaster, Ohio about two weeks ago. I have non-commercial plates and it appeared all trucks, big and small, diesel and gas were flagged over.

Two years ago my son found a federal IRS agent parked at his landscape business about 8 am. The agent checked every truck as well as his "on road" diesel tank and gas tank. He was told it was a random audit.

OSP and Madison Co. Sherrif are ALWAYS at the farm science review in London. A good place to find some offenders... .

On the side, EDK, (not hyjacking) who is your sons L/S buisness? His or he works for? They need a Bobcat :) >selfless solicitation<
