I cut off my muffler, but still have the 'resonator' left on my truck. Anybody know what the result would be if I cut it off too and ran a dual rear exhaust pipe out to the left side of the truck? Would the turbo still have enough back pressure to operate properly? Thanks, Phil.

Don't take off the res until the warrenty has expired on the motor! Doing so will void your warrenty.
Taking off the res will help the motor breathe a little better. The lesser the back pressure the more efficent the motor runs. It will not hurt the motor in any way.
I have dual exhaust on my 95. I had stacks on it at one time. But I pulled them off do to poor job of installation. I have gutted the cat run a 3'' pipe through it. Then split the exhaust behind the cat. I ran 3'' pipe to each side. I have monster 5'' tips pointing to the corners of the rear bumper. I sounds really nice. But the stacks sounded better.
