Someone was talking other day about running kerosene in diesel truck bc it was about 1. 00 cheaper per gallon. Is this ok has anyone ever done it with no problems? 2006 cummins
Too dry, about like running jet fuel. Unless you mix it with something else or treat it with a lubricant about all you will accomplish is destruction of the fuel system.
Your mileage will go down. How much I don't know for sure.
I Would shy away from running it in your truck during the summer. Its' a little thinner than #1 Diesel fuel to give you a rough comparison.
It works pretty good in the winter if you mix a couple gallons of kerosene in with a tank of diesel fuel to keep it from gelling up. But if you live by the gulf you probably don't have that problem very often.
