Truck was running so smooth it would make you cry-pulled it in shop and installed ARP head studs-put everything back together, now running very rough and no power and about every 30 seconds to one minute hits like it's trying to fire out of time.Went back last night and rechecked valve lash and did visual everything seems ok.Also plugged and unplugged injector harness connectors and wiggled wires around hoping for a change, nothing.Did not remove pushrods when doing studs, felt like they were all in place on lower end before I installed rockers-could they be out of place down at the cam?Only other thing,I had to disconnect the apps box and and move over a little bit.I tryed doing reset on apps-nothing.Really needing some other input from others as I don't know where to go next.THANKS! 04.5 3500 smarty Jr. ATS compound turbos Needed to add have 0314 cam sensor code and one for trans. Truck is now unusable-dies when shifted to drive-going to go pick up cam sensor and give that a try?

Did you do one stud at a time or more than one?use any cleaner down the hole, get any fluids into the cylinders?

One stud at a time following glacier ARP instructions,no cleaner down hole and don't know how any fluid would have gotten in cylinder. Thanks need all the ideas I can get.

Have you checked all connectors in the areas you were in to see if maybe you bumped something or skinned a wire? Do you have a CEL or codes?

0314 cam sensor code and one for the trans-I'm thinking they are on because of the way the truck is running-not the cause. Was going to just change the cam sensor but after looking where it is I'm going go back over all wiring first.THANKS for all suggestions.

Started pulling one wire of each injector at idle, seems back three are not firing.trying to figure whats next.

Sounds like you've damaged or disconnected some wires, and I'm going to say it's the Tan/Pink (or Brown/Lt Blue) from pin 57 to the joint S170 on the lower left side of the block.

Here's a diagram:

I just saw a post where it was said that limp mode turned off back 3 injectors-4,5,6.I'm not finding any other info on this, anybody know about this?If not I think the wire your showing is where to check since it's the only one connected to those three. Thanks for helping!

Did you double check that the push rods were nestled in the concave of each lifter? I would think the easiest way would be to bar the engine over by hand to insure that each valve is going up and down as designed.

Lifters are all good-I watched them all running when pulling wires off injectors.I have no power going to #4,5,6 injectors and I am convinced the ECM has turned them off?? Why? and how to correct the problem??

Found the problem!! Thanks Bigpapa you got me looking in the right place.Found a nick in the control wire on #4 injector near the injector that was shorting.Turns out that short on #4 shut the whole bank #2 off-Injectors#4,5,6-a cummins doesn't sound good on 3 cylinders!THANKS FOR THE HELP AGAIN!

Looks like you missed some dtc's.Any injector(single)electrical failure would have set a dtc and if the bank was shut down that would have been another
