Just bought a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 sport extra cab and have put over 12, 000 miles on it. Now has (92,000) I have changed the fuel filter and the transmission fluid, air filter, plus numerous oil filters and oil changes. Problem is that I can run it for 450 miles with out stopping, then when I get in line for a drive thru, the darn thing dies on me. This has happened several times. It starts good, drives far, then when I slow down and idle it, it just dies on me. What needs to be done?... . Thanks

Maybe you need to get a real dinner instead of fast food!

Seriously, what does your Tach read when at a stop, idling with the AC on?

Sounds like the idle is set too low. If so, check your service manual and reset it.
