My truck spent most of its time out west and the roof and hood paint became very faded. I noticed some pin points of rust starting to come through on the roof, so I sanded em off, gave it a quick prime, and line-x'd the roof for $100. 00 (had the bed done a few weeks earlier). It's parked outside underneath some pine trees, but I don't worry about that anymore. If the roof starts to rust out from the inside, then SO BE IT!

roof rust

I have a 91 that did the same thing. It had a lund visor installed adn the idiot that owned the truck previous to me installed it wrong and water got inside the truck. What I did was cut the section out of the roof, covered the top of the inner roof and the new metal with chassis saver, and welded the new metal in place. I paint so I can take care of most any rust problems myself, it helps my wallet. I am painting my truck the week before christmas, dark grey titanium, it is a cool color. BTW..... I have a lund visor for sale!!!!
