2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Rust Proofing??

Hi I got a question for everyone, I am going to be living in Ohio for 2 years wile I am going to school, What can I do to rust proof the rockers and the door seems on my truck?? i saw chain wax as a good alternative but what else can I use????

Throw a set of running boards on yer ride! Also, A buddy squirts copious amounts of WD 40 in the door drain holes on his '95. No rust yet!! Mike

Kano Labs makes this stuff that we spray on farm equipment that must sit outside. Its called Prevox. We also tried their Weatherpruf but found that it "yellows" after sometime. I use the Prevox on the undercarrage of the trucks, cars , and everything else. One gallon is enough for the average size Dodge. I have a metal 2 gal. sprayer for just this use. If you get a little bit on the paint, use some CRC and wipe it off.

Just get them lined with turboliner. It is a great looking product and will save your rockers from many a rock chip and rust.

Do yourself a huge favor and run it over Sandusky at Magg's Automotive and have it Rustchecked www.rustcheck.com They have been doing this for years in Canada and have a great track record. They do a good job of keeping your truck from rusting.

I use a dilute mixture of phosphoric acid on the farm. Works real well.
