My camper's wheels look awful. They are/were chrome but it has rusted off in a few places. The camper sat for 9 years and water (Dog Urine) puddled at the bottom of each wheel and the chrome rusted off. The wheels are still solid, they just look bad.

What is a good paint or finish for them? What will stick to them? I'm thinking black with new chrome lugs and chrome centers.

Galvabrite is pretty awesome stuff, has a nice finish and a bit metallic holds up to outdoor use for sure.

I ran across this site over the weekend.

No clue on pricing, but they have a ton of videos and seems legit. It's the cost of 2 cans of galva brite for the cheaper system an comes with a bunch of prep material, so IMO price is OK and I would try it out.

Whatever you come up with post back the results, this is a very common issue if you go an alternative from normal paint and prep.

I would still prep the wheel and then use maybe GalvaBrite on them if they were mine you dont want to just coat over any rust.

For the time and $ spent personally I would look into a new set of tires and wheels mounted n balanced from trailertiresandwheels.com. Then sell what you have in CL.
