dont know if this is true or not but I read somewhere that the dealers east of the Missisippi get their trucks off a ship in New Jersey.
I'm in NJ, and mine came via train from Saltillo. I tracked it. Same with my last truck that came out of St. Louis.

My dealer finally got the Dodge rep to call me yesterday. Without a doubt the rudist individual I have ever spoken to. I'm left to believe Dodge has no customer service anymore. I'm so angry I don't even want to detail the conversation here because thinking about it will ruin my day again. It looks like I will be selling this truck and NEVER buying another Dodge product. I wish I could afford an attorny just to make their lives miserable.

Ps: sorry about any spelling errors, it seems we don't get to spell check with the new software.

you know, in california, the lemon law states that the attorney fees are the responsibilty of the manufacturer. Most places will give you a free initial consult and then you will know where you stand.

The dealer had me bring my truck in so they could look at it. They agree the truck has more rust than it should for a new truck and are asking the Dodge service tech to look at it. Dodge must pre-assemble the chassis and leave them outside in the weather or something. Even some of the plated parts are rusty. I'll see what the service tech says before I start thinking about lawers.

Gino,

Can you give an update on what the Dodge tech said?

Craig

Craig;

Two or three weeks past and I had not heard a thing from the dealer regarding the appointment with the DC tech. I called and left a message for the general manager at the dealer and go figure I got a call the next day from the service manager telling me the DC tech was on vacation and the soonest he would be available is Sept 14. So at this point nothing has happened but waiting. I know the DC tech is going to say the rust on my truck is normal. You can see rust on the drivetrain of the Power Wagon Dodge used for their press release. It's obviously just how dodge builds trucks. I'm really a dodge guy but I can tell you from experience that Ford (wash my mouth ou with soap) and especially GM do a mutch better job on the little details, like making sure the under carriage of your brand new $40,000 + trucks is protected from rust, and they certainly don't ship them to you pre rusted. DC needs to get their sh#t together.
