My 05 leaks about 2oz of rusty water from the left front of the engin (looking from the front) when I do a short run. My 99 never did this. Could it be the water pump weep hole?

You don't tell us where your from... but you should have coolant in the engine and it should not rust... We test our coolant with a ph test kit and change it as needed. In addition we add back a coolant recharge kit to keep it fresh... and only use distilled water. .

I own several trucks and on a good hot day, below the fire wall on the passenger side, (left looking from the front) the AC will drip condensed water to the ground. I've never seen this water with rust in it... .

I don't know if this helps...

Could be that nasty orange/ pink colored coolant also he sees. I'd bet $$$ the water pump needs replaced, how many miles on the rig Ron?

Yep, sounds like the orangish/pink coolant at the front front corner of the block, right where the a/c cond bolt to the block.

I am on my third waterpump. It never leaked when just sitting, only after driving it would drip out of the weep hole and run down the front corner of the block.

Something else i just thought about... could also be the block heater leaking, have a buddy whose truck did that. Removed the heater, teflon taped the thing, and put it back in. It is loacted in that general area also. Remember some trucks did not have the cord on them... ( like his) but the heater itself is still there.

the truck has 77000 on it and it spends the winter in Fl and the summer wherever we decide to go. My anti freeze is a reddish color and the water in question is a yellowish brown

Thanks for the info guys, was away from home and went to a dodge dealer. It was the waterpump that had a slow leak for a long time and just went bad. The good news is it was covered under warrantee. thanks again
