Correct method to jack up a 5'er??

04 Trail-Bay 26BHSS

Does anyone have any experience with RV covers. I am looking at a Camping World sale book and they have them for my 5ver. Anyone have a Tyvek/Polypropylene cover on their RV? Are they worth the effort to put them on? Appreciate all comments. Thanks

Camping world has a nice selection of covers. There are pros and cons to covering your trailer. Yes they are a pain in the as* to put on, I usually need two or three extra hands when I put mine on. The ac housing, and vents hang you up, I made two poles so we could walk down the sides, holding the cover up, but it still was a pain. I like the fact that they are protected from the weather, But when I removed by cover this spring, I noticed it had scuffed the sides up. The cover moves some as the wind blows, and causes the scuffing. You might not care, but I want be covering mine this fall.

Between trapped moisture and skuffing the RV surface, I think they do more damage than good. Mine sits out in the AZ desert uncovered all year.

fiver covers

Funny you mentioned this... I was just talking to bpine this weekend about his fiver cover as I am looking for one also. He has the tyvek polypro cover ( I believe it's tyvek on the sides ) and swears he won't buy another one like it. The poly material does not last at all in the sun, He had to replace it after one year!

At 4-500. 00 bucks a pop... . I want one that will last longer than a year!!
