ROG,
On my '00 I ran the 7-way cord around to the factory plug under the rear bumper. I did run a seperate 8 gauge 12 volt charge line from the driver side battery through a circuit breaker and a relay controlled by the ingition switch to isolate the starting batteries from the RV battery. The factory 12 volt charge wire is too small and doesn't have an isolating relay. My Lance camper has a 3-way fridge and it draws about 15-20 amps when running on 12 volts.
On the 97 that I had, I tapped into the short harness that runs from the main harness to the factory plug soldering the connections and using heat shrink tubing.
No way is anybody going to use Scotch-Loks on my truck!!
Bill
