Been searching for some solutions. Cranked until I killed the batts...Got really old batteries in there. I should have thought about that before hand.
Tear down and install went really well but, batteries died trying to get her to crank back over.

I got fuel in lines #3, and #4, closed them off and kept pumping by bumping and never could get fuel in #1.
I was scared I fried lift pump for some reason so I backed off #3 and #4 again and I managed to get fuel out of all three of those lines. I went ahead and closed them up and was going to try starting again but killed batts. I think I'll go buy two tonite from advance...whew. that's gonna hurt...
any recommendations from you guys on what I should do to the ole girl started back up? Just keep doing what I'm doing?
Need some moral support. I'm frightened that the ole girl won't fire back up...

You need someone to crank it over while you crack the injectors lines one at a time until it starts. SNOKING

I found out one of injector lines at vp44 way leaking. Tightened that up. I now have fuel coming out of 1,3,4,5 and they are cracked open. Still no start. I'm aftaid I'm gonna kill these batteries too! Jeesh. This is tougher than I thought!

After you recharge your batteries, try this. Tighten all the fuel lines. Then pick three fuel lines that are easily accessible at the head. While someone else cranks the engine, crack open one of the lines until you see fuel coming in spurts, then close the line immediately and you should hear the engine try to fire. Continue to do the same procedure with the other two lines while cranking the engine. By the time you have completed this, the engine should be running roughly and the other injectors should clear themselves.

If you get no response (as in engine does not try to start) you may need to go back to the basics, such as installing a gauge to prove that you have adequate fuel pressure from the transfer pump while cranking the engine. Hope this helps...

Thanks for the tips. I'm very frustrated. Fortunately I don't have any check engine lights. the truck ran great before I put injectors in and i'm fearing the worst here. I've killed my perfectly good truck. I'll give that a try in the morning. I sure hope that works!
Thanks guys...

I actually went out and bought new batteries. Cranking is much better and faster but I don't know how long these new batteries will stand cranking before they die too!

Get a good nights rest and start with a fresh mind.

Having the batteries fully charged is important. When injectors (actually nozzles in this application) are replaced, a lot of air is introduced into the high pressure fuel lines. The new injectors will not release any fuel into the combustion chamber until the injector pop-off pressure has been reached, which is well above 1500 psi. When the engine is cranking, the VP44 only distributes very small amounts of fuel, consequently compressing the air trapped in the lines to a high pressure, but not high enough pressure to reach the injector pop-off setting.

This is where you skillfully bleed out the air in the high pressure line while cranking the engine, then quickly close off the fitting while the engine is still cranking. The faster the starter spins (fully charged batteries) and with as much as possible air removed from the high pressure lines, the sooner the pressure will build to injector pop-off pressure finally firing a cylinder in the engine - Yes!!!. It will start rough, but I am sure the sound will be music to your ears.

Or, you could skip all of this and buy a truck one year newer, those injectors self bleed.

Yup, you are doing fine. It takes a long time to fill new/dry injectors and tubes. Once you get good fuel at the injector line, close it (28 ft. lbs) and leave it closed, you have done all you can to remove the air, now the injector has to bleed itself.

Guys! Success! John, you were right. I jist needed to start with a clean mind this morning! I came out this morning. Hooked the batts up, said a prayer to my Lord and Saviour, and cranked her over. Starter turned maybe 1.5 times (exagerrating a little here) and boom! She puff a little and cleaned up and is running right!
I let her idle a little. About 10 min the. Shut her down and torqued the nuts at the head. Praying for no leaks. Didn't notice any leaks at IP so I should take her out afterwhile for a little test drive with RV275s and EZ!!!! Thanks for all the great advice and encouragement guys! I couldn't have done it without you!!!

Yes! I had to dial back the EZ to 30HP for I feel like clutch slipped a little when I was getting on it up hill in 6. Normal driving was ok on 65HP but I honestly don't really want to run much on that setting except for occasional fun. One thing I did notice was a much more even increase in throttle response all the way across the power band unlike just with tje EZ which you could obviously feel kick in on the higher end of the torque band. That was good but now I have an improved bottom end pull too! Pretty sweet setup!

I'm VERY pleased with the new injectors and 30hp setting on tuner. Just got back from a days run around town and it's hoss. I been getting on it a little and she's talkin to me! Runs like a top! Thanks to all the helpful guys here! Merry Christmas.
