I bought a set of RV275 injectors off eBay from Midwest Fuel Injection. http://www.mwfi.com/dieselPage/dodge injectors.htm

They appear to be a decent "brick and motar" company with 4 shops over the U. S. 100% score on feedback, like 735 positive remarks.

Anyhow, I get the injectors in yesterday. I was expecting a box or something with Bosch labeled on it. No labels or anything.

Just clear plastic bags with some kind of lube and the injector in there. Plastic cap over the nozzle.

The injectors have no markings on them at all either.

Is this normal? I'm kinda leery that these are some kind of Chinese injector or something. Is there a way to identify them without any part #s??

A true Bosch injector body will be stamped with the part number. The 275's are 0 432 193 635.

Are they grey or black bodies? How many holes in the tip?

The Body Is Just A Body Right? The Part Number That Tells Him The H. p. Is On The Nozzle Tip And You Cant See It Without Taking Them Apart Or I Think Anyway. If The Body Is Actually A Bosch I Would Think That Would Be Stamped On The Body Along With The Part Number For The Body.

I have no idea.

I expected a "tray" of injectors in a box or something. And having the Bosch name/part # on them or something.

I am tempted to send them back.

I'm not about ready to risk my engine with a set of $250 "unknown" injectors. They say they are Bosch, but am I just to take their word for it?

I'm thinking of just ordering some injectors and connector tubes from Olee.

They look like that, but wouldn't any Cummins ISB injector look like that?

Just no part number anything at all.

Without the Bosch trademark & without the Bosch part number, I'd say they don't look the same.

Seems like you'll have to take the vendors word for it or find someone to verify that Bosch sells injectors without markings.

I sent them an email asking about it.

I am thinking of returning them. In the auction, the injector in the pic has the part number on it as well.

Is there a such this as cheap "look alike" injectors that would copy the RV275s??? Like a Chinese version or something?

With no number on the body they almost certainly aren't Bosch. Furthermore, Bosch 275s are being made in Turkey, not Germany. I don't pay much more for genuine Bosch injectors than your no-name stuff. If not getting Bosch, I deal only with companies I trust, such as DD.

Looks like I might be able to switch them out for labeled injectors.

They fellow I talked to explained that they are bought in bulk from Germany and the bodies aren't labelled. Dunno, just seems odd to me, and I think that would be something important to mention in the eBay ad.

Cooker, where have you seen the injectors for $250?

Well $30 is a bit more than $250 haha

Anyways I got ahold of the company and they are going to send me labelled injectors and take the ones I have back. Good customer service.

I guess when spending $250 I don't think $30 is that much more money especially if I am dealing with a reputable company and it saves me some hassel. Personal preference I guess.

Regardless, it sounds like you are getting things sorted out.
