i have watched truck and tractor pulls with great interest for years. to be quite honest, around my part of the country at the local events there doesn't seem to be much competition. my questions are: with my setup as below, what can i expect to break... hitch?... driveshaft?... axle?... springs?... clutch? also what gear is approriate for pulling? i can only use the 20% mode on the JVD, cause i am running the stock clutch right now, but with the other trucks around here that frequently pull, this should be all the advantage that i need. (mostly gassers and stock PSD's all in the same class)

Jeremy, you should be able to pull with the box on high and in at least 4low 2nd gear. If your clutch is toasted that bad then it's not gonna make a big difference pullin on 20%. You shouldn't have a bit of trouble with the rest of the truck. By your sig it looks like your runnin about the same setup as all of us guys that run together. Just dont' try to pull your truck like a pro stock tractor and rev it up and dump the clutch, just barely keep the truck runnin when you tighten the chain up and let your clutch start to seat in before you ease into the fuel. When it finally engages you should be able to give it the fuel then. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Easy on that clutch!
Come out of hole with just enough smoke not to stall, make sure that clutch is hooked, then ease into the power. 3rd low may be too much with that much tire and a stock clutch.

Avoid pull offs, and pulls two nights in a row. Give the clutch time to to take the glazing off. (doing this cost me$$$)
There is a pull in NE Ohio this Sat, too far for you?
