Ummm you mean to dyno a motorcycle ?? Hell if i know, but i'll ask!!! That would be awesome to see. Glad to see Greg is doing your trans. You're going to love it after it's done! Haven't talked much with Greg lately... . been busy, i know he's always busy. Tell him about this thread and see if he can make it down!!

Matt i sure hope this will pull some advertisement for your weekend as well!!!

The only thing i'm really worried about right now is having too many trucks. It takes a while to strap down and go above and beyond customer expectations. The day goes by faster than you'll ever think, and at the end i'm affraid someone might get turned away and not get to dyno. I will be talking with Mr. Dyno to see what he thinks of this situation.

Partsman it would be great of you to come up. Just bring your own supplies and i'll make sure you have a place to unwind.

The dyno is a Mustang. Not sure of model, but willl ask this as well. Yes it is a load style. According to Mr. Dyno himself, it is capable of loading a 1750 HP engine 'til it dies.

If i haven't answered everyone's questions please repost. I don't skip over anyone on purpose.

Thanks

Curtis

Yeah, I know I'm gonna love that transmission, Greg let me drive his truck... . SSSWWWEEEEEETT! I've never been on a dyno, didn't know it would take all day to run 10-12 trucks, but now that I think about it, I'll leave the bike home. The trucks will be enough excitement.

What time will they be starting the runs? I've got maybe an hour and change to get there from Flint, first come first served I'm assuming.

I'll mention it to Greg when I see him. I never asked him how long it takes to rebuild a transmission, am I right in thinking it will be 4 days or so? Thanks for all the great topics on this site, sure is addictive. Got the so called bombing bug now.

Kevin

Im not going to run just to let ya'll know.

BUT I am going to STACK the ol girl :D woohoo! I was in Ann Arbor for chris "CPoling" 's birthday with Drew "Blue-Beast" and talk about peer pressure!!!! I folded like a paper napkin!after terrorising thru town!! ah it was hilarious guys you should have been there!! hahah 6" turn outs? Miter? Straight Cut?

(the pics are from summer when I first debated stacks)

AHHH is it may yet?

Ian

miters... miters Oo. i knew it wouldnt be long before you buckled :-laf

6" would look awsome!!! soon we will have that thing 10" taller and some swampers on it :D i would go with the miters. just cooler looking on a reg cab.

Kevin are you going to have Greg throw in a set of injectors also ???

Ride control bars ??? (you'll love these as much as the trans) STACKS ???? LOL i'll leave you alone now ;)

As far as how long it takes for a trans overhaul. I'll leave that up to the pro to let you know! You're probably looking at anywhere from 2 days (hauling arse on it) to about 5 days (taking time and making sure it's done right the first time) Greg could overhaul one of our transmissions in his sleep!

Ian you've seen the stack kits that Greg sells right ??? Probably by far the easiest setup to install.

Just got off the phone with Jeff @ DynoServe

Jeff and his father are more than willing to accomodate campers on their yard. Please nothing larger than 30 FT. We can have electicity if needed, i'm sure they wouldn't mind running a water hose either.

Keep in mind this is not a camp ground. They are only offering this for the people that have a drive and don't want to dyno and have to drive to a campground just to sleep.

Jeff is also more than willing to accept folks that a distance to drive to come down and park their campers friday afternoon/night (May 20th). '

Sunday May 22 we cannot run before 12 NOON. Jeff and his father (and family) have church to attend. I figured we could all run into Jackson (or whereever) and get some breakfast.

Is it May yet ?

Curtis

Will Cost $52. to dyno. You do not have to dyno to come out and shoot the I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER.

They are extending their 20% introductory discount to us.

I'm definitely getting some 100hp injectors, Greg says he has a used set that he took out of his truck, will sell them to me cheap. He said they smoked too much for him, probably not enough for me, LOL. I thought about stacks, but, I can't figure out how to get the smoke to shoot in the drivers window of a rice burner with stacks on the truck! Gotta love those stories, can't wait to try it! Greg also mentioned he sells those stabilizing bars, he and I will talk more. I also plan on picking his brain to find out what he's done to get that 438 rwhp number I saw. I'd like to dyno at 350 or better. The truck is running great with that comp (with the pump wire tapped). Will look forward to meeting everybody, I'm still new here. Thanks, Kevin.

Correct me if i'm wrong but his sig says he has an 01 ;)

Kevin i'm not totally sure what Greg has done to his truck to get 438 HP, but i do know he'll sure set ya straight. He'll also break your account if you let him, BUT you'll drive away ALL SMILES!!!!!

Can't wait to see what Greg does for your truck come May!

Curtis

Kwikspool NICE TRUCK!!!!! (where is the other stack?)

I thought about stacks, but, I can't figure out how to get the smoke to shoot in the drivers window of a rice burner with stacks on the truck!

Ahhh I do enjoy doing this (with the little smoke the truck makes 1x5 with low boost) Hmmmmmmm Miter or turn out? I like the looks of Miter but love the sound of turn outs. Maybe Ill go with one of each HAHAHAHAH :-laf There is a maroon CTD running around town with Miters on it but I think it still got the "muffler" (never heard of such a thing?!) :D Ahhh I dont know what to do!

I just emailed my new financial advisor GREG about his kits, I saw a set in Roanoak In when I had my gauges installed and he had a set of MITERs sittin at his shop when Drew and I visted for my limp mode ordeal.

Can we get a sled and 300' in the back yard? I was looking at Kwikspools photos and got the itch to pull something again Oo.

Ian if you have the itch to pull something, i have plenty of trees here i need yanked out of the ground!!!!! It's soft ground too, lots of mud!! And i have 300' in the back yard. LOL

Nice pic, but i agree with Matt (only this time, don't get used to it!!!) Where is the smoke ???? Was your truck on a diet that day ? LOL

Are you going to pull at all this year ?? Come to the Marshall fair!!!

Did you like Gregs kits ? Did ya check out them traction bars ?

later

Curtis

haha well curtis Ill bring the rope! but I dont think your little lady would like ruts in the yard. We just dig down in the dirt around the base of the tree, cut it off then put the dirt back over the top.

No smoke, I know I know... I had just bought the truck not 3 weeks before that pic. I had no gauges, no box, Just a stage 1 and exhaust. I think I only made it a whopping 187'

Im thinking 6" miters, my darn email came back that i sent to greg so Ill call unless I can get this crap to work. I saw his latter bars and like them too. All these things to do and not enough time or coon I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER money to spend on em haha speaking of coon I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER anyone going to the Kenton Nationals this year?

38" and air bags... . Tempting!!!! Ive lifted all the trucks Ive owned and this one is on the chopping block hahha but fuel at 2. 28 Ill wait for now. The boss/cousin has a fiero on a chevy 3/4 shortened frame that were working on. 44" swampers and a 350 bored . 60 over. Were running into front driveshaft issues and headers that will fit without hitting the cross members. Other than that its going to be one heck of a mudding truck/car!!!

I need a smoke

Ian

speaking of stacks CURTIS lets put a hole in your bed!!!!!! Ill bring a torch and hammer!

Ian you don't know how bad i've wanted a set of stacks from Greg. I had everything worked out (finances) to get them and then went through the stage of selling the truck. Don't want to put in a DTT, Stacks, Ladder bars just to sell the truck. Right now it looks like i'll keep the truck, after all the house and family come first.

I think i will get a set of stacks now. I don't need a torch, 5" hole saw.

Man you guys are going to break me, and get me kicked out of the house. O well the stacks will keep warm in the winter LOL
