While testing my transmission shift points I realized my waste gate is sticking. My HTT S300 surges over 50 psi and above 30 psi sustained it whistles loud. The rod moves about a 1/2" with 40 psi on it, at 30 psi it moves about 3/16" and leaks down quick.

So, its not stuck, but rather not opening when I'm driving. I can open it with compressed air.. Actuator shot?

If it's leaking down that sounds like the actuator diaphragm has a hole in it. Can you hear air coming out around the shaft, if so you need a new actuator.

Yeah, when I spray the diaphragm with lube it bubbles all around the shaft and the edges of the can or actuator body. I'm looking for a replacement, never messed with one before. I guess its just not opening enough due to a weak actuator. I can't let the auto trans kick down now, it hits 50 psi easy. I hope i can just replace it an be done, would be nice to leave the turbo installed.

I spoke with HTT in Utah after they got their phones back up and the guy said they are $50 plus shipping. So, hopefully I have one soon and get the old truck back to normal. I was looking at my receipts and my Street Stock 62/14 turbo is 8 years old, man time flies by. Hopefully the fresh actuator will solve the over boosting.
