Its almost clutch time for one of my trucks, is the sachs still the way to go? My truck will never be drag raced, most likely never hooked to a sled, and will probably always be under 400hp/1000 ft lbs. Is there anything better for the money? The sachs is about $430 shipped from an ebay store. Also, I have an NV4500 w/ an Advance Adapters kit, that still takes a first gen type clutch, right? The spline count is the same on a G360 and an NV? Thanks

See my post in your other thread. Sachs has served me well, though I never have broken even 300hp, much less 400. Take it easy and it should do ok. A SBC ConOFE would be my next step up from there, though I am by no means a clutch expert.

I would make sure it's a genuine 13" Sachs clutch. For the price, I'd get it and never look back. Mine was holding 400+hp, never towed though. That's where you will see whether or not the clutch is doing it's job. Yep nv4500 and getrag will use the same clutch.
