Sacramento area muffler shop that can mandrel bend

Howdy all,

At a local TDR group meet last weekend, one of the guys mentioned he had heard of at least one muffler shop in Sacramento that can mandrel bend 4" and 5" custom exhausts. Do any of you know which shop this might be?

A MUFFLER SHOP THAT CAN WHAT???

BE VERY SKEPTICAL OF THAT.

MANDREL BENDING MACHINES ARE HUGELY EXPENSIVE COMPARED TO THE EQUIPMENT FOUND IN THE AVERAGE MUFFLER SHOP. In speaking with a rep from one muffler and exhaust system manufacturer, he told me, "the (ball mandrel, the kind that do not crimp or crease tubing) machines are run in a climate controled environments and have to be kept running as much as possible to stay in the black. "

If said shop truly has a mandrel machine, it would be a true rarity to say the least, especially if it could aford to have said machine sitting idle for any extended period of time.

If its legit, and affordable relative to off the self systems, I'd be more surprised.
