What can I do too my truck that won't hurt my transmission or my fuel mileage or my motor but still increase power some. It's a 95 kdp pinned, automatic trans 223000 miles. Also I'll be pulling a 28 foot fifth wheel travel trailer some. Also do you guys like the fifth wheel hitch over modifying for a gooseneck ball. Thanks

I put a TST #8 plate in my 95 with no decrease in fuel mileage and a sweet increase in power. Previous owner increased exhaust to 5" from cat back, so that probably doesn't hurt.

I would (and did) go with the fifth wheel hitch. The gooseneck adapters have been known to crack the frame of 5th wheels due to extra leverage.

Don't worry about extra HP damaging your auto transmission. With that many miles on a stock transmission, your trailer will do the job for you. LOL. I have an ATS transmission and love it. There are a few other companies out there that I have heard good things about. Start putting $$$ aside now for when it goes. I would go with a #10 plate and a turbo back exhaust with a stock transmission.

With that many miles a set of injectors wouldn't hurt. A set of 215's out of a newer 5sp truck would work well. Autos are supposed to benefit well from a 3k GSK. Stock airbox is fine and cut out cat and add free flow muffler. 3" is fine for under 300hp. Have fun!

First of all, you have a 5th wheel, not a Travel Trailer. Two different tow RV's.

Second, I agree with GaryOwen on the gooseneck adapters. A GN adapter will change the geometry of the pin box to the 5er, which can result in catastrophic damage. How much damage depends on size and weight of 5er.
