Hey guys

Just put a deposit on my 96 last night...

Anyways, i read about recall 720 and the warranty extension to vacuum parts. I also know this is a NTSB safety recall. I called DC and check valve was never fixed. He said the 7 year warranty expired april 5th. I asked him if DC would still fix any problems with this since its safety and it was not performed before. He said no its not their responsibility. Is this true? or are they required to fix a safety recall like this???

Any good dealers to take it to in Southern California that will take care of me. And whos the service guys name if you remember

Erik

Most manufacturer's will take care of something like that at no charge... . it just depends. My '00 had a transmission cooler line fail five days after the 3yr. /36000 warranty ended and the dealer fixed it at no cost. Try going to the dealer the truck was originaly purchased at.

If this basic recall was nto performed on this truck, what other maintenance was not performed?

I would question this very closely?

The 5 speeds had a headlight recall as well as a throttle cable recall both of which should have been doen under warranty at no charge.

The throttle kit will run one or two bills if it comes out of your pocket as well as the head light relay upgrade should be about another 100.

Might give you bargaining power in the final sale.
