Attention: For all home owners/renters out here in TDR land, make sure your carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors are in working order. IF you dont have anything like this in your residence, go out today and get these items.

For those of us that already have the detectors in place, check your batteries to make sure they work or even better yet, replace them with new ones.

Just wanted to give a friendly reminder as winter is a coming/arrived and these things just may save a life/family. Just a friendly reminder. :)

I bought a combination CO and explosive gas detector the other day...

It hasn't gone off yet and I hope it never does. If it does... my furnace's heat exchanger probably crapped itself and that = $$$$$

I did the battery on my smoke detector when I set the clock back an hour recently. I write the date on the battery as well just in case a brain fart comes on or something.

Amazing how many house fires occour where detectors are present but not working due to old or disconnected batteries.

May wanna throw away your old carbon monoxide detectors. Been hearing things about the early models not even detecting extremely high amounts of carbon monoxide. There must be a way to test them?
