Just a note, moderators move where ever you think it belongs:

This weekend I observed what happens to the front of a bed and back of a cab when a thousand pounds of unrestrained sandbags fly around in a frontal collision. NOT A PRETTY SITE.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SECURE YOUR LOADS!!!

The front of this truck was so crushed from it's accident that the drivetrain moved back well over a foot. To the credit of Dodge, the cab windows and interior were intact but for a crack near the pillar gauges. HOWEVER the rear window, rear cabwall and bed front wall were severly mashed by the sandbags.

I know I am guilty of this, as my 2500 drives better with a load in the back.

FYI: we saw our friend on crutches and heard him talking about his new truck!! #ad

many moons ago, in defensive driving class (yeeessss fooorr a speeding ticket) we were told about a bowling ball that came out of the back seat, went thru the front seat, and slammed the engine block thru the radiator. moral of story--tie yer s*%T down, fer cryin' out loud! seat belt n' air bag get defeated when the danger approaches from behind you. . and also the rear-deck riding poodle that broke an old lady's neck. killed'em both. a tied-down doggie box would have helped a lot.

David,
What friend is it that you speak of? Is it the All-Mighty Bee-Killer (Willyslover)? Did he still have the sand in the bed when he went off the road? I have been wondering about that load that I saw in the back of his truck.

Also, all of the crap on the nifty bins behind the seat emptys right out in a 30-0 stop.

I'd rather not name names as this is just my attempt to warn others rather than assign blame to a friend.
Those in the know are aware of the exact vehicle, I found green paint at the base of a tree a good 30-40 feet below the grade of the road where the truck clearly leaped over a tree to get there.....
