I recently posted a thread asking members to recommend a good dealer in California because I want to buy a 3500 SWB SRW Laramie. I got the name of Larry Collins, fleet sales manager at Autowest Dodge in Roseville. I made my deal over the telephone, and ordered my new 3500 today. Expect to take delivery in approx. 4-5 weeks. I found Larry Collins to be a stand-up guy with excellent product knowledge. I was shopping price, and I'm happy with my deal, plus I didn't even have to give him a deposit on the order. His number is 1-916-781-8100. Looking forward to taking delivery. Thanks to everyone who sent threads.

Great! I didnt think there were any salemen that fit that big word. Where is you new ordered truck comming from? The factory is way down in Mex and under perfect conditions it takes about 8 weeks to get to the west coast. Good luck and please keep us advised>

I wish I could have cought this earlier, I would recomend Bob Swift from Swift auto World in Sac. Just tell him Matty Mcvey sent you.

Glad to hear that it went your way though.

When I was ready to place an order for a 2004. 5 in December 2003 I either could not find a dealer in CA that would deal, or didn't even know about the 600 engine and wanted to sell be one of those watered down CA versions (the 235). I had to go to Idaho to get the right price. It's good to know that our state has a dealer that knows what he's doing.

Good luck with the new ride.

I wouldn't buy a truck from Autowest Dodge if they were the cheapest dealership, or the last dealership on earth. I live 2 minutes from them. The only reason I go there is because it's a close place to get a test drive, but they aren't getting a single cent from me. I might take a truck from the if it was free, but I would have to think about it. :-laf

What did this place do to get you this ****** off at them?

I went to your "Vote for Freedom" link, very interesting, the Libertarian Party puts fourth some good ideas. It's unfortunate that no alternate parties can raise enough money to become viable candidates.

It's their attitude. Ask anyone who lives around here and isn't one of those kinds of people that just walks in and pays retail what they think about Autowest. Nearly all will tell you the same thing. My girlfriend bought her car there, and they've treated her like crap. I was going to buy a Jeep there a few years back and was told to my face by the salesman that I was stupid and a liar, when in fact it was him with that very problem. Call it being rubbed the wrong way too many times, I just won't do business there, and I'll convince as many people as I can to go elsewhere as well.

As for the lp.org link, glad you got some useful information there. I could go into it more, but don't want to hijack this thread... I started a thread in the "other" section a while back. . should be able to find it if you so desire. :)

It must suck to have to deal with the salesmen.

I dont know what I would do if I had to.

I just call bob directly, no salesmen, no BS. everyone Ive called in there for have gotten unreal deals and the best service ever.

Plus he is like me, a go fast horsepower junkie. He likes taking my truck for a drive everytime I go down to Sac and see him to go play with all the Fords, He was willing to lend his Viper to me and my father for a few days to see how it runs, after the Hennesey motor, susp, and brakes were working. Great guy.
