Fireman Dave you are not completely wrong, because my 2004½ is coming from Mexico, per the 800 number. There are Dodge Ram final assy plants in St. Louis and Saltillo, Mexico. Not sure how it's decided where they will be made.

Yeah, I know - my '01 was built in StL. I just thought that they stopped making them in StL. I think I had it screwed up with my wife's PT. Thanks, Robert.

Storm Damage

I was looking at traderonline at Dodge trucks today and saw some new Dodge storm damaged trucks for sale- $19,500, They looked beat up in the front and all along the drivers side, maybe they are the ones you are talking about?

My, I am surprised they are shipping these trucks

over the Gulf on ships. I have not seen this

since '98 and '99 when the SP and UP couldn't

get auto racks into Mexico (conjestion). Chrysler and GM

sent their vehicles to Mobile and Jacksonville where they were put

on auto racks for the remainder of the trip.

Be happy they didn't deliver your salt damaged

vehicle to you. It's apparent that the railroads

aren't handling the autos as expected or the

ships wouldn't be handling them, as you see the

autos have to be shipped via truck to the coast

of Mexico then water carrier to one of our ports

on the Gulf then off loaded to trucks or rail

to final destination, a lot of handling and

expense.

My truck ('03 2500) has no undercoating, I don't

think it'd stand much salt.
