Everyone knows Sam likes to push his sponsors products, no problem there, but this one is kind of funny.

He puts in a new clutch, again, plugs the old clutch, but does not mention who makes the new one!!

Then, he reminds us about the "special lube" for the 5speed,(don't go there on this thread please).

That is fine, you do need a proper lube.

THEN , he says he also puts in and I quote,

"I also added the correct amount of BLANK Gear Fluid Supplement. "(name not important)

So we take the proper lube and mess it up with an additive.

Go figure.

Go Sam!

Sam seems like a shill for the companies he sells for from time to time. Additives are generally a bad idea in my opinion. Why take a perfectly good lube and play home chemist and change it all up?

Not good. What was the lube additive he used?

Let us not get too ahead of ourselves. The additives that generally are out there are just a waste of cash. This includes the "alternative" brands as well.

Sam is pretty cool and all, but he sells junk on his show all the time.

I got money the clutch was not a Mitchell puller. LOL!!!

Bad bet there. Sam could not have installed it anyway, it ain't in the Dodge manual!!!!

I was thinking it was an SBC, and Peter told him to pound sand, h e was not paying for any of Sams plugs!LOL

Kudos to Peter... . I was thinking it was a SBC too. There goes that theory. Sam is a Ho. Or however you spell it.

I'm sure it is not a SBC. The pressure plate bolted to the flywheel in the picture is purple and definitely isn't a SBC, and he did mention that the disc has a ceramic material. SBC hasn't offered a caramic for a long time (I have one), and it isn't purple.

Hey Gene, I noticed the very same thing! Sam stresses the importance of using "the correct" fluid in the NV4500 while later on, speaking out the other side of his mouth plugging the additive he uses in his transmission. :-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf

I'm sure glad I don't have to be a "corporate ***" for well paying sponsors.
