It would appear my lift pump has expired today. Ran truck about 1/2 hr to get home, at the"O" p. s. i. mark on fp guage. Two questions here. How much , if any damage did I do to VP44, and if I select the "FASS" route, where to order one to get best price?

2001 w250, 6" lift, dash mount isspro guages (fuel,egt,boost)

91 w250, 2" lift front,tough old plow truck

I would be suspect about the VP not being damaged. I had 3 lift pump failures, two in my drive at start up and one where I had to drive about 5 miles home with about 3psi at 25mph. VP started acting up almost immediately after the last failure and was replaced about 4 months later under warranty after starting the whole dead pedal routine. I did throw the codes for the dying VP though after the last LP failure.

I have had the FASS for a year now, no problems/no worries. I got mine from Piers Diesel, best price I could find a year ago, plus they give (or did give) a TDR discount on it ( I think 10%).

hope this helps

IMO, I'd just order the big fuel line/LP relocation kit from www.vulcanperformance.com and get you a new lift pump from www.Hoeslidiesel.com. I think once the stock fuel lines are replaced, the relocated lift pump will work just fine. I have a hard time getting my fuel pressure below 11 psi with my setup. Most times its between 13 & 15 depending on load/speed.

RASP - all mechanical, powerbypoole is sending me one. Pretty penny :{ but the best on the market Oo. and it comes with all the big lines and all the fittings you could need.
