Okay first of all I would like to thank everyone that contributes to this website. It is a very informative place I and everyone else can learn, and teach others about our trucks! I love it.
so now about my problem, well I have a new 2001 quad cab 4x4 diesel, I traded for a 99 exactly the same except regular cab. Well I love these trucks, but seem to always have the same reocurring problem time in and time out. The steering feels so loose and sloppy it feels like a 1901 instead of a 2001? Well I want to describe exactly what I have done to the truck. (1) installed different rims, Eagle 143, (2) installed bigger tires, actually 2 sets one set on the stock rims 285 75r 16 Goodyear ATS, and 285 75r 16 SSR's Super swampers on the Eagle rims, (3) lastly I installed Daystar 2 inch spacer over the coil in the front to level the truck out. Now after saying that, the truck drove fairly loose before any changes, and now it really drives bad? I have tried everything with the tires and rims, my dealer has done everything he can think of, and now he thinks its the truck? basically what i want to know or would like to know is what would the best way of going about solving this problem be? I have read about aftermarket trackbars and such? is this the sollution? well I would really like to solve this problem once and for all, and by the way my 99 drove the same way,sloppy..... This 2001 has 3000 miles on it ... ... .
any insight to this dilema would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance... .
