What a great feeling. Well, we are legit! It's official the Diesel Hot Rod Association is a drag racing sanctioning body. Many thanks to the several direcors, officers, and tech inspectors of the DHRA. Everyone has put in many hours and a lot of time in getting this achieved.

Special thanks to Eric Lowe of NHRA Tech (even though you drive a Duramax;) ) for being patient through my learning curve. Mr. Lowe went to bat for the DHRA when needed and saw us through the process.

A very special thanks to all of those that we hold dearest. Our supporters; the sponsors for giving us a chance, and most of all our most cherished asset, the racers. I am a fan of all of you, because you believe in us! Now, let's go race!

Anything to change? Is the DHRA now listed on the NHRA/IHRA websites? Does this mean more "exposure"?

Glad it got sanctioned. Very Cool. (Even though I can't seem to win a race. . )

Biggest difference is this:

According to the lawyers of the NHRA, the crankshaft centerline cannot exceed 36" on OEM trucks. This is interpreted different at every track. According to the NHRA OEM is how it came out of the factory. Aftermarket tires, exhaust, air box, etc means you can't race unless you lower your truck to 24" crankshaft centerline. We also found out this week that more tracks are going to be cracking down on that. The only way diesel pick ups will be allowed to race will be with the DHRA or at IHRA tracks.

Other differences, yes we are on the Alternate Sanctioning Organizations list of the NHRA. Potential sponsors now have a sanctioned racing organization to support, I liken that to the difference in a licensed and bonded contractor vs. one that is not.

So we are making proposals to very large companies.

It also puts us on a level playing field with the IHRA and NHRA. It also shows our willingness to comply and our level of professionalism.
