Towing Temps

Loading heavy objects?

Wildwood

We just bought a Wildwood 27BH TT in March. It's a 2000 model, but was still new on the lot. We towed it to CA and back through Yellowstone in June. Almost 5700 miles on that trip. Slept in it 21 straight nights. We also took it on 2 short local trips before that.

For a lower end unit, we're pretty happy with it. We really like the features. It has had a couple of defects, though. The siding had to be cinched up when an air pocket formed in it (the staples were shot too deep on the siding and the siding poped off in a spot). The dealer fixed it. Now the other side has that problem. Annoying, but fixable. Cheap construction - but again, a low end unit. The fresh tank has a bulge in the bottom. It needs to go in to have support straps put under it. It should have had these from the factory. This isn't uncommon on Forest Rivers, I'm finding out.

That's about it. All of the appliances work well, and the unit is very nice overall. It tows very well. Forest River is a fairly new company - less than 10 years old, I think. But they're quickly becoming one of the larger companies.

Good luck!

I owned a Terry 24' toyhauler and it was a pile of junk, after fixing or redoing nearly every system on it I sold it and got a bigfoot camper and a cargo trailer. I also have two other friends that I ride quads with that own these style of trailers, one has a 21' Sandpiper and the other a 24' Tahoe. Both have been nothing but trouble since day one, everything from water leaks to warped floors to appliances not working and everything in between. Not sure about the Weekend Warriors, they look the best in my opinion but I haven't heard about build quality.
