Sat radio

I have an RB4 (the good nav system in 05 with moving map), can sat radio be added if one did not order it from the factory that way? I know I could have gotten it as a option but did not. Is it just a dealer software upgrade that can be done at the dealer along with the antenna installation? Thanks.

Yes it can be added, but you need to buy the tuner and antenna. There is an extra cable that is required to see artist/song title information on the display.

Are you sure you have the RB4 and not the RB1? I thoiught the RB4 did not have the map display. As mentioned, you may need the additional cable for song/artist display.

My mistake I have the RB1.

SAT hookup is the same no matter which radio. Added Dodge aftermarket to mine with "0" problems. Heck Didn't even mount the Ant where they suggested. Just kept it on the dash.
