Doug Hofeldt had a truck coming east from
Idaho that can carry 6 of his hoods. (See
other posts on Air Bulldog for details. )
The freight cost can be reduced by the amount of hoods that members speak for prior to shipment next month. Total freight cost is
$420. Two of the hoods are sold in Ky. The truck will end up in Mo. Anyone interested in the hood in the midwest should contact Doug
or myself asap to same freight costs.

<font color=blue> Just pulling this to the top so it don't get lost.

So if I read your post correctly there are 4 spots left regarding hood transport? I have emailed Doug awaiting a response (at work now) so I'll prolly get it when I get home tonight.

I would love to have one of these bad boys #ad

Kat, they're *****in'! #ad

I picked my hood up over the weekend of the 21st. Doug is a real pro he even pointed out a thing or two. Just so you guys know I increased my milage by about 1 MPG running back to LA. Thanks Doug

Do you have the "optional ducts"? I think I might like to get those. Just wondering if anyone else has them?

I realize the "look" of this hood will take away from my "stealth" look but oh well..... I figure between the hood, and the stacks (coming soon) and the lift (coming later) and the rough estimate of 425hp (Hot PE, EZ PE, 130hp injectors, HX40 w/16cm&sup2;, ATS manifold, Ported head when its all said and done) I think I can reach that goal fairly easy.

Yes Kat I do have the otional NACA ducts... in fact, I have the first production hood with these. #ad
"rotohead" (infrequent TDR BB poster) has production hood #2 with the NACA ducts.

You sure will get a lot of looks with the Air Bulldog hood! #ad
In fact yesterday, I saw a construction worker (pulling flagger duty) almost trip as he was turning to take a second look at my hood... jaw open and all. #ad

I went with the NACA ducts to kind of balance the look of the hood. If you have a center band paint scheme you'll have to be creative in blending it in. I am also very happy with the hood after having it all summer and it's a big attention-getter. I'm convinced that it improves performance but have no numbers to back it up. Lots of pics on my web page.

<font color=blue>Thanks for the pics rotohead.

Do either of you notice any problems in the rain? Have either of you had your hoods long enough to go through snow? (do either of y'all get snow, I know Sandy, Utah does?)

I have a "solid" color truck. But I want the hood w/ducts. Its just a matter of time, too many other things in the "works" right now under the hood.

RAIN: Driven in plenty of light-to-moderate showers but last spring/early summer I drove through a monster downpours where I could just barely keep sight of the road. Kind of got carried away as I searched out other major thunderstorms the rest of the afternoon. Got home and pulled the air filter and looked for any moisture. Bone dry.

Snow: Just this past few days in Utah we've had some snow in the mts. I used to work up Little Cottonwood Canyon where the two biggest ski resorts are. I live @ 5000' elevation and the road goes to about 8500'. I've driven up there three times in fairly heavy snowfall and one time I spent the nite. I don't ever think falling snow will be a problem. When I spent the nite up there my truck was outside and there was about eight inches of new snow on her in the morning. I did take the time not only to clean the windows but clear the front of the hood and some snow did get in the intake. No adverse affects though and I think when engine heat builds up it melts and travels out the way rain does. You might want to be alittle deligent in cleaning that area during pre-start. Doug Hofeldt has had his hood for three years+ and in Pocatello, Idaho they get their fair share of snow too. He's never had a problem. Ken Jones of Diesel Performance in Ogden, Utah has a hood and no problems w/rain/snow either. With all of this combined, I'd say it's not a problem.
Nice looking truck Kat.

RAIN? RAIN? ARE you kidding Kat? I swear, there is no place on earth that sees more rain than here in the Northwest! Well OK, maybe "KOA MAN" does... but not by much. Like they say, we don't tan we rust! #ad

I drove through an extreme rainstorm in Montana on my way home from getting my hood from Doug. In addition, my front end was plastered... LITERALLY plastered with MILLIONS of bugs when I got home. #ad
After all that I only had a partial wing (and NO moisture) in my Air Bulldog intake (PRE filter of course). I have driven through numerous rainstorms since, without so much as a drop of rain in the Air Bulldog replacement air box base.

Snow? Are you kidding? Reread rain comment above. #ad
Seriously, we get a little snow although, we haven't had any this year yet.

I'll tell you one thing Kat; I was (am) thinking of ordering a newer Ram (6-speed, maybe 3500 4x4)... . IF I did, I believe the only thing I would transfer to the new Ram would be the Air Bulldog hood. My problem is this... none of the current Sport colors really "grabs" me... except black (and I have that now).

John. . dont bail on me now #ad
. . I thought we were in this together buddy ole pal ... . get black!!!!!!!!! lol . . Iam in favor of the silver myself... . #ad

JB... . I'll probably just keep what I've got. I really love Black although it's a real b***h to keep clean when you live down a gravel road. Silver... . sorry, I'm not anywhere near as fond of Bright Silver as I was to Light Driftwood (which WASN'T offered in the Sport model). #ad
