Saved My Nerf Bars For $14

My '09 Ram's chrome Nerf Bars were in terrible condition. The PO had them installed by the dealership when he bought the truck new. I was prepared to go to the metal yard today and fab my own using the existing brackets and 2" X 4" tube stock.

I woke up with a different idea...Why not? I had nothing to lose.

$14 dollars later.

Here's what I did...

Tools. Some type of flap looking disc on the grinder. A chisel to pick off the chrome flakes.

I put the mounting bolts back in to give the tube some legs for the top side. #ad

Used some Purple Power and cleaned up the plastic.
