My wife and I came out of a resturant last night and parked close to us was an '03 black 3500 single rear wheel extended cab short box 4x4. I talked with the the guy for a minute (he was leaving as I was still looking)--Even got him to pop the hood. It looks like a lot more than just engine packed in there, but it made nice music as it pulled away. Pretty awesome trucks, but I think I'll keep my '94. (at least for a while)

Sort of similar to the sound of a (working) Duramax. It seemed very smooth and frighteningly quiet. It was also an automatic and he crept away slowly w/no authority (also like a D'max) I'd like to have heard him standing on it.

I have listened to a Bosch pump run to its max without an engine. This was sort of like the engine minus the injector pump.

I dunno-if they would have offered a SRW 3500 in this body style I'd have bit. Ever try to push a dually through a foot of snow? For trailer towing-no argument from me. But I sure would have like the option to inflate my artificially low GVW.....

Had it been a stick, (5 or 6) a long bed, and a regular cab, I might have bought it right there. (doubt he would've traded :D )
