I just got back from Mexico where I saw a new gen 2500 diesel 4 door tooling around! I didn't think that they were availble yet, but I don't normally follow this forum as I don't want one. Was strange though as it had no plates on it at all, and sure was quiet. Are they already selling them there?

Initial production is coming from Saltillo. St Louis North is primarily 1500 Quads (they will also build the 2500s) and Dodge City is primarily regular cabs, but Saltillo will be the main source of 2500/3500 trucks. You may very well have seen a test truck from the Saltillo plant.

You may have seen a 1500 with 2500 badging. I've been to Nuevo Laredo several times and seen Chebys and Dodges running around with "plus size" badging. You also see this in the states with GMC and Cheby vans. 1/2 tons (1500) with 2500 badging:rolleyes: I don't know what the thought is with the plus sizing of the badging  If you see another truck like it get a closer look and let us know.

Never heard of 'plus size badging' before..... lol. However the exhaust was way too big to be a gasser I figure. We followed him for a long way but he never pulled over. I am back in Canada now so no chance of seeing it again.

Last week i drove to loveland CO, for a job i had to start, and coming into denver i spotted a 3500 dually new body style,CTD. This was on I70, it had black wheels and looked like it had been rode hard. Question i have is could this had been a test truck on the road. I wish i could have talked to those guys, but traffic was real bad and there was no way to stop or pull over when i saw the truck.

DMalone,

I've seem that truck once to. About 3 1/2 weeks ago on I70 east of Denver. It is a red regular cab right? It was going east and I was going west so no chance to get a better look.
